Barbara A. Pinter (nee Posig). Of Marion, formerly Pewaukee. Loving wife for over 51 years of Matthew. Beloved mother of Andrew (Rebecca) and John (Deanna Werner). Proud grandmother of Kyan and Maia. Dear sister of James (Madeline) Posig. Further survived by her sister-in-law Catherine Sensiba, brother-in-law Thomas Pinter, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lucille (nee Berg) Posig.
Barbara was born in 1948 in Cambellsport, WI. She moved at an early age to Milwaukee, attending St. Aloysius grade school and Pius XI high school where she met her high school sweetheart, Matthew. They married in 1970. After completing Spencerian College, she worked for many years doing secretarial work at Allis-Chalmers before their sons were born. After the boys were grown, she went on to work many years at Geis Garage Doors.
Barbara's passions included sewing, crafting and quilting, of which she showed great skill. Family and friends enjoyed the fruits of her labor when they received their Christmas, wedding or birthday gifts. Later in life, she spent many hours playing cards and enjoying a beer or three - always in a frosted mug with ice. When a refill was required, she placed her empty mug firmly on top of her head.
Anyone who came in contact with Barbara knew of her affinity for pigs, not only by her collection of various items and jewelry, but by her ankle tattoo. Because of this love, we will be forever reminded of her with every pig we see.
Barbara was a true friend to all, warm and loving. She would help anyone and was generous with her time. She was a very genuine person and loved by all. She will be dearly missed.
All funeral services will be held at St. Leonard's Catholic Church in Muskego on April 12, 2022. Visitation will be 1:30pm until 3:15pm. Mass will follow immediately after starting at 3:30pm.
