Bernice Kathyrn (Von Ruden) Radl, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2024, at the age of 79 surrounded by her loving family.
Bernice was born on December 4, 1944, in Campbell, Wisconsin, to the late Lawrence and Marcell Von Ruden. She graduated from Royal High School in Elroy, WI in 1962.
Bernice was united in marriage to Charles D. Radl on August 3, 1963. They shared 60 wonderful years together. Together they raised five children: Curt, Dawn, Mark, Christopher, and Aaron. After marrying Charles and starting their family, Bernice was a dedicated homemaker and mother. In her later years, she worked for the Waukesha School District as a happy lunch lady. Bernice’s family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bernice enjoyed antiquing, spending time with grandchildren, decorating for the holidays and a bit of casino time gambling. She was known for her kind, warm heart and generous spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Along with her husband, Charles, Bernice is survived by her five children Dawn, Mark (Lori), Curt (Carole), Christopher (Angie) and Aaron (Morgan); her thirteen grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Cody, Brian, Austin, Shannon (Tyler), Branson (Merissa), Jacob, Colten, Noah, Faith, Wyatt and River, six great grandchildren, her brothers Donnie and Roger; her sisters Kathy (Gay), Doris (Kenny), Arlene (Tom), Darlene (Jim) and Carol (the late Jim); her brother in laws Bill (the late Barbara) and sister in law’s Carole (Jim), Judy (Al) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Dorothy Radl, father-in-law Harold Radl and brother-in-law’s Jim Aune, James Radl and sister-in-law Barbara Radl.
A memorial service to celebrate Bernice's life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 11:30am at Queen of Apostles Church, N35W23360 Capitol Dr, Pewaukee, WI 53072. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
