DeVos, Betty Julienne
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the 86 years. Born on April 24, 1938 in Belgium. Betty was a ballet dancer as a young girl. In 1954 she immigrated with her parents to North America first stopping in England before settling in Toronto, Canada. There she met and married her late ex-husband Glen Hoaglund and soon had to move to Wisconsin for his job. They settled in Waukesha, Wisconsin and raised their three children. She has know gone to be with her only son Craig Hoaglund who we lost suddenly and unexpectedly only last year. We did not get to say goodbye or did leave behind any children or grandchildren behind for us to cherish. They will both be dearly missed. She was also preceded in death by her father George DeVos, mother Francisca nee Pevanage (Tom) Powell, baby daughter Monique Hoaglund, sister Maude (Fernand) Debacher, son-in-law’s Michael E. Haas and Dennis A. Webster. She is survived by her sister Jenny (Terry) Miller of Canada, her daughters Elizabeth Haas (nee Lisa Hoaglund) and Lynn Rinehart, grandchildren Michael A. Haas, Dustin Haas, Alex and Alison Bailey, Teala (Marc) LaPorte and great grandchild Alara LaPorte. Further survived by other relatives and friends. The family would also like to thank the staff at Sunrise Meadows in Brookfield and Preceptor Hospice for all of their care and kindness for Betty.
