Bradley John Huron
Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, August 3, 2024, Bradley John Hudon Sr., 67, passed away in the comfort of hospice care after battling cancer. Bradley is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Catherine Amanda Hudon (née Larson), and his three children, Jeanette (Jeanne) Catherine Hudon (1983), Bradley John Hudon Jr. (1986), and Lauren Lynn Hudon (1995). He is also survived by his five loving brothers, Robert Leo Hudon Jr. (1950), Gregory Hudon (1951), Keith Hudon (1956), Brian Hudon (1959), and Jon Hudon (1963).
Bradley was born in Lombard, Illinois to Robert Leo Hudon Sr. and Jeanette (Jeanne) Lillian Hudon (née Campagna) on January 20, 1957. He graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1975 where he met his wife. Thereafter, Bradley and Catherine were married in 1978 at St. Mary’s Parish in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Bradley Sr., Catherine, and their son Bradley Jr. lived together in Union Grove, Wisconsin. Bradley and Catherine spent the last 32 years in Wisconsin raising their children who all graduated from Pewaukee High School. The family took many summer vacations to the Wisconsin Dells, which was Bradley’s favorite place to visit and make memories with his wife and children. Bradley referred to Wisconsin as “God’s Country,” and genuinely enjoyed raising his family in Wisconsin.
Bradley was a talented actor, performer, and artist and was mentored by Jim Belushi while at DuPage College in DuPage, Illinois from 1975 to 1977. Bradley continued to share his talent and performed until the end of his life, studying, and performing the music of his favorite artists, such as Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley. He shared his love of music and artistic expression with his children. Jeanne and Bradley Jr. continue his legacy within the arts and continue to share their artistic talents through singing, songwriting, recording and performing live for audiences of 50,000 large.
Before moving to Wisconsin, Bradley and Catherine owned Orlando’s Pizza with Bradley’s brother Gregory and his wife Yong Chu. Orlando’s Pizza was in Batavia, Illinois and the Hudon’s owned the restaurant from 1976-1992. After owning Orlando’s Pizza, Bradley and Catherine owned the Central Grille in Milwaukee’s Third Ward from 1995-1998. For the remainder of his career, Bradley sold cars at various dealerships in the Milwaukee area.
One of Bradley’s favorite hobbies was studying American history, with a particular interest in the life and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. As a longtime member of the White House Historical Society, he was a subject matter expert on 20th Century White House interior design and taught others about the different stylistic choices each President made. He used his expertise to recreate and build historical items, such as small replicas of the Oval Office and the Bully Pulpit.
Bradley was a passionate advocate for those who experienced discrimination because of mental or physical disabilities. He believed that every family deserved housing regardless of their status in the community. He also believed that Americans should have access to legal advocates to exercise their rights. This belief was not lost on his children who chose careers to help others. Specifically, his daughter Lauren, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University Law School this past May and plans to volunteer with legal organizations in the City of Milwaukee to advocate and help others in need of legal services.
