Chris Alan Marquardt

Born on July 27, 1950, Chris entered Eternal Life on April 24, 2019 at the young age of 68 years. Chris was a loving husband to Loy Gilbert, father to Bonnie Czarnik (Matt), stepfather to Cari Gilbert and Ryan Gilbert (Sarah), grandfather to Gabe, Greta, Carlie, Adriana, Jace, Dylan, Abby, and great-grandfather to Alexis (A.J.). Brother to Melanie Hilmer (Russ), brother-in-law to Jerry 'Bud' Schuelke (Laura Lee), and was preceeded in death by parents, James and Ruth Marquardt and in-laws, Jeannine 'G.G.' and Harry Schuelke. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and his furry "kid", Lexi dog. Chris worked as a master electrician for 43 years and taught electrical apprenticeship for many years. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW-494). Chris had a passion for the electrical field and took pride in his career. Chris loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, hunting, kayaking, sailing, scuba diving, his get.away trailer, traveling with his wife, gambling and spending time with his grandkids. Those who loved him will miss his sense of humor and hearty laugh. According to his wishes, Chris will be cremated and a private celebration of life will take place.
