David Paul Fichtner

December 2, 1942 — January 8, 2019

After a long battle of PTSD, David P. Fichtner, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2019.

David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Yvonne, five children: Kitty (Paul) Slama, Camron, Kim (James) Westphal, Jeremy (Tina) Johnson, Aimee (Jeff) Johnson-Crass. David also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Josh (Kazmir), Brandon, Lucas, Dustin, Baylee, Alex, Jacob, Anjoli and Dylan. David also had one great grandson Kurt.

David was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals including the bronze star. David grew up in Milwaukee and was one of fourteen children of Max and Agatha Fichtner. David joined the Army in 1963. He retired from the Army reserves in 2002 as a CSM. David worked for the City of MIlwaukee for over 25 years and retired in 1998.

David is proceeded in death by his mother and father and 11 of his siblings.

David will be dearly missed by his family.
