Donald "Oscar" Rathkamp

Donald “Oscar” Rathkamp, age 68, of Pewaukee, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025. He was born August 5, 1956, in Waukesha, WI to the late Oscar and Mary (Westcott) Rathkamp.

Oscar is survived by his son, Justin (Mariah) Rathkamp of Odenton, MD; daughter Kristyna (Austin) Gardner of Aiken, SC; grandsons Michael and Alexander Rathkamp of Odenton, MD; brothers Randy (Laura) Cramer of Kenosha, WI and Robert (Sandra) Mittelsteadt of Keller, TX; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mary, and brother David Mittelsteadt.

Oscar was known for his ability to fix anything and would never say no to a friend in need. He was a skilled electrician, and his exceptional maintenance skills took him around the world. The only thing stronger than his work ethic and outgoing personality though, was his love for his family and friends. Oscar loved being outdoors and when the weather was nice, he would often be found playing with his grandkids, on the golf course, or cruising the lake with his friends. Oscar was passionate about playing sports and watching his hometown teams, and he cherished the memories and friendships he made throughout his life.

In honoring Oscar’s wishes, there will not be a formal service or gathering. His request was that his friends and family celebrate his life in a manner that best reflects his time spent with them.
