Genevieve Ann Conley (nee) McGinnity age 94 of Pewaukee, was born on June 19, 1926 in Hollandale, Wisconsin. Daughter of Hugh and Lillian (Paul) McGinnity, she was born at home on the farm and graduated from Hollendale High School in 1943 at the age of 16 and worked at Mineral Point Power and Electric for one year until her enrollment at St. Mary's School of Nursing in Madison in 1947. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dodgeville, Wisconsin where she met her future husband Patrick Conley. They were married in 1948 and lived in Omaha, Nebraska for one year until he enrolled at Loras College in Dubuque Iowa graduating in 1951. They moved to Milwaukee in 1952 where he worked for Patrick Cudahy before joining Cryovac in 1952. She is survived by 11 children, Steve (Terry), Dean (Faith), Rosemary (Thom), Mark (Beth), John, Nancy (Michael), TJ, Cathy, Mary Pat (Stephen), Paul (Lynn) and Kelly (Tiffany). She was also a proud grandmother to 27 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Pat and son Mark.
During her career as an RN, Genevieve worked at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and River Hills Nursing Home in Pewaukee until her retirement. While raising 11 children, Genevieve and Pat moved to Pewaukee and were long time members of the Pewaukee Yacht Club. They also enjoyed many close relationships with their neighbors on Rocky Point Road until their retirement to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1992. They returned home to Pewaukee in 2000 to be close to their many children and grandchildren.
Genevieve loved to play cards and spend time with family and friends and will be dearly missed and remembered fondly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Genevieve's name to Queen of Apostles Church in Pewaukee.
