Joan Ann Haas went to her heavenly home on October 18, 2021.
Joan was born to Raymond Grucza and Mary Thurnebauer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 18, 1930. She graduated from Riverside High School.
Joan married the late Richard (Dick) Haas in 1950 and they raised five children together. Joan worked for many years as a hospital unit clerk and ran a tight ship on whichever unit she was assigned.
Joan later migrated to California to begin a new phase of life with her partner, Sue Koebel. Together they built a full life with good friends, business ventures, global travel, and numerous other adventures.
Joan and Sue moved back to Wisconsin about 10 years ago. Although physical infirmities tried to limit her activities, Joan fought to stay as active as she could, enjoyed attending the theater, donating at the casino, relished commenting on current events and was ready to party at the drop of a hat.
Joan is survived by her beloved partner, Sue Koebel. Also survived by her children, Annette (Tom) Heileman, the late Sharon (late Russell) Gross, Rick (Patty), John (Mary) and Paul (Kathy). Also survived by fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
We would also thank Joan's caregivers at home and at Heritage Court and Brighton Hospice.
Join us for Joan 's celebration of lifeon Saturday, October 30, 2021 with visitation at 10:00a.m., service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon at The Machine Shed.
