Kristine Jean Prohaska

Kristine Prohaska, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at Shorehaven Health Center, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Karl; her children, Julie (Jim) Badciong and Lisa Prohaska; her brothers, Victor (Karen) Redzinski and David Redzinski; and her cherished grandchildren, David Powers and Sydney Badciong. Kristine was born and raised in Pewaukee, where she graduated from St. Mary's Elementary School and Pewaukee High School. She was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Church, where she served as the school librarian and church wedding coordinator. She later retired from the Pewaukee Public Library, where she worked as a Circulation Supervisor. Kristine was an avid reader and tremendously creative woman, creating a warm home for her family and beautiful flower gardens for all to enjoy. Further, Kristine was a talented folk art painter sharing her artistic talents through a cottage business she created with her husband, Karl. Together, they participated in numerous art and craft shows. Kristine will be deeply missed by her family and her beloved puppy, Emma.
