Lorraine Buske passed peacefully on July 4th, 2020 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. She was surrounded by her children. Lorraine was born on October 22, 1930, to parents John and Gladys (Lloyd) Jones.
Lorraine grew up on a farm in Dousman, WI. She was the youngest of five children. Lorraine attended a one room school house for primary school, and graduated from Waukesha High School. Following high school, she attended beauty school in Milwaukee and worked as a beautician.
She wed Wayne R. Buske on June 9, 1951, and they made their home in Pewaukee, WI. Wayne and Lorraine were blessed with five children, and were very devoted to their community, family, friends, and church. Lorraine joined Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pewaukee when she married Wayne, and remained an active member through the rest of her life. She enjoyed Christ Lutheran's service at Kirkland Crossing, where she resided the last 10 years.
Lorraine was very active at Christ Lutheran Church. She served in many capacities, but was especially happy to cook, bake, and organize meals. She served as the lead for funeral meals for many years, providing comfort to family and friends of departed church members.
Lorraine was a devout Christian, a wonderful example of faith and service to all who knew her. She loved and cherished her family and friends. She had a heart of gold, always generous with her time, talents and means.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, and son, Bryan Buske. Lorraine is survived by her son Miles (Rita) Buske, daughter-in-law Laurie Buske, and daughters Mary (Charles) Lannert, Brenda (Scott) Ramlow, and Lori (Daniel) Schweiger. Lorraine is further survived by grandchildren Justin (Lauren) and Brandon Buske, Joshua (Nikki), Jacob, Jared (Kari-Lyn), Jordan (Alisa Smirnova) Lannert, Clayton and Katelaine Buske, Elena and Samuel Ramlow, John Schweiger, and, great-grandchildren Blake and Addison Buske, Ethan Buske, Lyric Robinson, Kayla, Kylie and Jackson Lannert, Jacob Lannert, RoseMary and Teagan Lannert, and Jasper Lannert. Lorraine is also survived by friends and extended family.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Kirkland Crossing/The Arbors for the care and friendship they provided Lorraine, as well as AngelsGrace Hospice for compassionate end of life care.
