Loy Harriet Gilbert

August 31, 1948 — April 27, 2021

Loy Harriet, Schuelke Gilbert departed her loving family and friends, peacefully at the age of 72, on Tuesday, April 27th of 2021.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 31, 1948, to parents, Harry and Jeannine (Schultz) Schuelke, and her late husband, Chris Marquardt, who went to heaven before her.
Loy was blessed with two children, Cari Gilbert and Ryan Gilbert (Sarah Gilbert).
Loy is survived by her brother Jerry (Bud) Schuelke (Laura Lee) and his two sons, Eric and Paul (Rachel), and their son, Easton.
Later in life, Loy blissfully welcomed seven grandchildren, Carlie(Ben), Adriana, Dylan, Abby, Jace (aka Big Gucci), Aspen, Shanoah.
Then, much to her delight, Loy welcomed three more littles who made her "GREAT: (Alexis (AJ), Adrian, and Aaliyah) …. need not worry, Loy always had lots of little butts to pinch.
We cannot forget to mention her Sister from another mother, Paula Schwartz, she was mom's best friend until the end.
Last but not least, her furry companion Lexi. Ruff-ruff
Loy loved life and she never allowed anything to stop her from having new experiences or creating fun and loving memories. Always with a smile upon her face and positive, loving energy that radiated wherever she was present.
Loy loved spending time with loved ones and friends (and she had a lot of good ones) while traveling any distance to see them. She was an artist at heart and enjoyed a variety of crafts, gardening, and interior design.
She had a love for a variety of music, and you could almost guarantee, as you drove up to her driveway, you would hear her music blaring from her front bay window.
Casinos. There is a reason why she chose to get married on 07/07/07.
Penny slots. Yes, mom enjoyed casinos.
A party, she was there, dressed to the 9's.
Hats! She wore many, both figuratively and literally.
If you were ever able to see her beautiful yard, Stein Gardens and Gifts will surely note her absence.

Loy will be greatly missed by many.
