Melissa M. Bruss

Melissa M. Bruss passed at the age of 40 on June 12th, 2026 at her home in Watertown. Melissa was born September 9th, 1985 in Milwaukee but grew up in the Oconomowoc area. Melissa graduated in 2013 from WCTC with her nursing degree. She was many things a mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend to many. She was one of a kind from her crazy sense of humor, being the life of the party and just always being there when you needed her. She was an amazing mother to her daughter. Melissa is survived by her daughter Freya Poehler, mother Pamela Bruss, brothers Michael (Caysie) Bruss, Patrick Jones, sister Amber Valadez and Randy Poehler, her nieces Emma and Dakota Bruss and Angela Bines, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Melissa is proceeded in death by her father Patrick R. Jones, maternal grandparents Anthony and Evelyn Evens, paternal grandparents Michael and Bonnie Jones. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
