Michael Alan Magnusson

Michael Magnusson, age 68, passed away on August 2nd, 2021. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo; his brother Robert (Brenda) Magnusson Jr; his three daughters, Dawn Wyrobeck (Chris Groesbeck), Katie Gregory, Liz (Justin) Peare; his grandchildren Zachary Wyrobeck, Payten Wyrobeck, Tayler Wyrobeck, Ryan Gregory, Michael Gregory, Madelynn Peare, and Mason Peare; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mike was born January 30th, 1953, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina to parents Robert Magnusson and Irma Ross. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he then served in the National Guard for many years. He graduated from WCTC with a degree in Marketing. He moved to Fond du Lac, WI and earned a position as the Veteran Service Officer for Fond du Lac County.

Among many of his achievements, some of the things he was most proud of was being Commander of the American Legion, a member of the Fond du Lac Marine Corps League and the Fond du Lac Masonic Lodge. Mike and his family, along with many volunteers ran the Fond du Lac Food Pantry for many years. He was very proud of being a Sunday school teacher, confirmation guide, and a counsel member at Church of Our Savior in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Some of Mike's many interests were spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, fishing, creating stained glass art, camping, playing cards, and researching his heritage (Feel free to wear Sweden's flag colors in memory of Mike).

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10am to noon Saturday, August 14th at Galilee Lutheran Church, N24 W26430 Crestview Dr. Pewaukee, WI 53072 with the funeral service to follow at Noon.
