Grace moved to Wisconsin from New Mexico in 1993 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She lived at La Casa Village apartments in Waukesha. Grace was very happy there and lived there independently until May of 2020 when medical issues caused her to require more care and help. She then moved to Linden Grove, an assisted living facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin before moving to her final home of Angel's Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the end of December of 2020. Many people prayed with her often at Angel's Grace Hospice where she died in peace.
Grace had many friends and was active in her church, St Mary's in Waukesha. She was also a 3rd order Franciscan and was very supported by the membership. Her friends visited her often and were a tremendous support to her. Grace also had a close relationship with Father Jorge Perez at St. Mary's.
Grace was always upbeat, kept up with politics and always knew what was going on in the world. She also loved the Green Bay packers, reading and doing cross word puzzles and mostly prayer. She was very alert and interesting to talk to until almost the end of her life. She also helped many people based on her strong Catholic faith. Grace was very devoted to the Catholic religion and would always take her statue of the Blessed Virgin with her when she travelled.
In accordance with Grace's wishes, along with a service at St. Mary's, prayers and masses were requested.
Thank you to the extended family and to all of Grace's many friends for always supporting, helping, visiting and being a part of her life. She was truly blessed.
