Paul Francis Courtney
Of Necedah, WI. Paul was a native of Pewaukee, WI. On August 4, 1984, he married the love of his life and they raised their children in the town of Genesee. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Patricia and their three daughters, Patricia (Bryan) Tolan, Paula and Paige Courtney, his loyal hunting companion, Josie. Paul was the beloved brother of Pamela Courtney, Richard (Jeanine) Courtney, Ellen (Brian) Kuehl, and Cynthia (David) Nissen. He went to grade school at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, graduated from Waukesha North High School Class of 1977. Paul studied to become an electrician at MATC. He spent 38 years with Roman Electric Company in Milwaukee before retiring in 2020.
Paul was an electrician by trade, but he could fix anything. He spent the early 2000s building his "cabin" and future retirement home in Necedah, WI. He was always willing to help his friends and family with their next project.
Paul was a family man that had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and the camaraderie of his friends that shared those hobbies. He loved family vacations up north that were spent fishing and pulling the kids around on tubes. He was fortunate to take several trips annually with the guys to South Dakota, Canada, and Lake Erie.
He was most at peace in the woods hunting deer, following his dogs through a field tracking down pheasants, or on the water with a fishing pole in hand. He spent several years on a sporting clays league at Wern Valley with his best buds, "The Sporting Studs".
Paul was preceded in death by his infant son, Patrick, father Robert Courtney, mother Theresa Courtney, and brothers, Dennis and Steven.
The Courtney family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital in Madison for all their care and compassion for Paul over the course of the last several years.
