Paul Richard Dicks

Reverend Paul Richard Dicks passed away at home on February, 7th 2022 at the age of 84, surrounded by family in Pewaukee, WI.

Paul was born on August 14th,1937 to parents Paul Ray Dicks and Edith Belle Dicks in Oto, Iowa. He was the youngest of 8 children and was preceded in death by siblings Robert, Ray, Lawrence, Merle, Alice, Norma and Pauline.

After college, Paul attended the Episcopal Theological School in Cambridge, MA. On December 22, 1962, he was ordained priest in the Episcopal Church at St. Stephen's Church in Spencer, Iowa. Paul recently celebrated his 59th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. A devoted servant of God, he served parishes in the states of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.

In addition to being a faithful priest, Paul was a faithful Packer fan and lover of baseball. He loved taking care of his yard and telling stories of his childhood. An avid reader, he always had a stack of books lying around. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Riley.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Dicks and their children James Caesar (Abby) Garavet, Brandon (Angie) Garavet, Robert (Barbara) Dicks and Clare Dicks. He is survived by children from his first marriage Lisa Chmielewski, Rebecca DeSpain and Jane (Murray) Johnson. He was preceded in death by children Timothy, Paul and Elizabeth. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral and visitation will be held at St. John's Anglican Catholic Church at N89 W16211 Main St. Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 18th. Funeral mass followed by burial will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 10 am. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the same St. John's Anglican Catholic Church, where Paul served in ministry from retirement to the end of his life.
