Richard (Dick) Charles Abram, 79, of Hartland, Wisconsin, passed away, Saturday, April 25th, 2020 at his home surrounded by close family and friends.

Richard was born March 16, 1941 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Emil and Carolyn Maria (Heartly) Abram. On October 1st, 1963, he joined the United States Army serving as a communication officer with the 141st Signal Battalion 1st Armored Division, Company C, stationed at Fort Hood, Killeen, TX. Shortly thereafter on December 28, 1963, he married Diane Elaine Gones in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Richard was employed as a rancher at Sturgeon's Mink Farm and Ranch in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He was an avid outdoorsman; spending much time hunting, fishing, trapping and a proud lifetime member of The Wisconsin Trappers Associations. He enjoyed listening to the songwriting of Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and the anthems by U2. He also enjoyed spending his time reading issues of 'Fur Fish & Game', and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and many neighborhood friends whenever he could. Earning the nickname, 'Honest Abe' Richard was an honest, kind and loving father, husband, brother, son and friend.
Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years Diane Elaine (Gones) Abram of Hartland, WI, two daughters, Christine Marie Gorde, (Terry) and Brenda Lee Abram-Pagano, his son Richard Michael Abram,(Connie) and, seven grandchildren, Tylor(Mallory), Rick, Nickolas, Alyssa (Alex), Alec, River and Ezra, and several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren; Khole, Brody, Charlotte, and Josephine.
He is preceded by his father Emil & mother Carolyn Abram, and brothers Kenneth and Douglas (Skip) Abram. Survived by his youngest brother, Randall & wife Myrna Abram.
