Shirley Harriet Edna Bentzien

Shirley Harriet Edna Bentzien (Shirl The Pearl), born on June 6, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI, quietly slipped away on December 22, 2019 at age 93--Alzheimer's Disease. She was a resident at Majestic Heights Assisted Living in Hartford, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Bentzien (Adorable Bob) in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her father Charles (1952) and Lydia (Buchholz) Rudolph (1948) who owned and operated a bakery in Milwaukee and purchased a cottage on North Lake. Shirley is survived by her two children, Vicki and Don (Barney) who maintain the North Lake "Bentzien Compound" where Bob built a year round home and Vicki and Don were raised. Shirley is also survived by nieces Jill (Bentzien) Benke, Sally (Bentzien) Danke, and nephews, Dean Bentzien and Jon Rudolph.
