Zoe Lorraine Stevens, 99, passed away March 2, 2020 in Brookfield, Wis.
Mrs. Stevens was born December 15, 1920 in Chicago to parents A.C. and Agnes Andrews. She grew up in the southern Chicago community of Harvey and graduated from Thorton Township High School there. She met her husband, Leon, in Harvey. After marriage, they moved first to Oshkosh and then Pewaukee in 1950. Her family and home were always her focus and fulfillment. She was an avid gardener and for many years was a member of the Pewaukee chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She later played the organ for the Eastern Star chapters in Menomonee Falls and Wauwatosa. She loved music and learned to play the piano when she was young.
Mrs. Stevens is survived by her daughter Sharon, Paris, France; son Richard, Nova Scotia, Canada; son Charles, Hartland, his wife Janice; and grandchildren Kirsty Stevens, Sean Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Meredith Stevens-Hubbard, and Alex Stevens. She has six great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her husband Leon, daughter Nancy, and son James. She had two siblings: James and Mildred.
Visitation is at 10:30 a.m. at Yonke and Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Avenue, Pewaukee. Funeral Service is at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Internment at 12:00 p.m. at Forrest Hill Cemetery. Donations to the Human Society in lieu of flowers.
